Resources for the Working Parent Topic of Monthly Women in Leadership Monthly Meeting

Being a parent and working outside of the home can be a daunting task for even the most organized person; and sometimes learning about community resources or getting parenting advice and support is the last thing on your mind. Join Julie Kozan, director, Great Start Collaborative as she presents “Resources for the Working Parent” on Friday, April 9, 2010 during the monthly Women In Leadership–Mid-Michigan luncheon from Noon to 1:30 p.m. at the Horizons Conference Center. 

Registration is required for the luncheon at www.wilmm.org. Cost to attend is $15 for members and $20 for non members.

The mission of Women In Leadership–Mid-Michigan is to educate, recognize and connect accomplished women and further expand their influence within their respective business communities and cultivate women leaders of tomorrow. They hold luncheon meetings the 2nd Friday of each month at Horizons Conference Center in Saginaw. Since its founding in 2004, the group has grown to over 100 members from Bay, Midland and Saginaw Counties. Topics will incude:  

             Time Out...Discipline Strategies...Reading to your Child...Picky Eaters…Childcare…

                          Sleep Concerns...Potty Training...Sibling Rivalry...Immunizations


This is a brand new program that focuses on bringing community resources and expert knowledge to employees at their place of employment. Working parents and caregivers are constantly trying to juggle activities and are often unaware of the resources and support available within their own community.    

Registration is required for the luncheon at www.wilmm.org. Cost to attend is $14 for members and $25 for non members.

The Saginaw County Great Start Collaborative mission is to ensure that “All children will enter kindergarten safe, healthy and ready to succeed in school and in life.”  Great Start Collaborative members are comprised of community leaders and parents who are working together to accomplish better results for young children and families in Saginaw County.
